Russian Spam King Bludgeoned to Death - 04/08/2005
To be beaten to death is one thing, but for it to be linked with spam emails is quite another. Unfortunately for a notorious Russian spammer it has been a tragedy.

Vardan Kushnir, Russia's most notorious spammer was found dead on Wednesday 27th in his Moscow apartment after having been beaten to death.
Russia's 14 million Internet users are said to have greeted the news of Vardan Kushnir's demise with 'thinly veiled jubilation', after he had spent years stuffing their inboxes with advertisements for his American Language Center.

However, revenge by an overburdened email user or a contract killing, was ruled out by Moscow police who said that he had been hit several times on the head with a heavy object and his apartment was ransacked. They explained that he met two girls at a nightclub whom he invited back to his flat where they drugged him
'An ultimate solution to the spam problem' is just one of the headlines used by the Russian media who have had a field day over the murder.

Russia's Government had to intervene at one stage due to Kushnir's spamming being so high profile. They set up an automatic phone dialler to call his office 1,000 times in a single morning.

The volume of emails containing spam in Russia is to such a high extent that emails from the .ru domain are routinely blocked by the country's Internet users and often by Web servers in other countries. This is due to the fact that the country has no anti-spam laws.

Russia's problem can be combated using ArmourPlate. The ArmourPlate Anti Spam service works by scanning your company's email to stop spam before it reaches your computer network. Our proprietary, highly sophisticated spam recognition engine, 'Robot 5', which will detect almost all spam and places it in an individual user's Spam Box, housed on the ArmourPlate system, filters companies' email. Each email user can view their own Spam Box via a Web browser.

By not having ArmourPlate companies are at very real risk.

Using the ArmourPlate service will safeguard companies and save them money.
ArmourPlate is considerably more cost effective than tackling the spam and virus problem internally at the company.

Having spam and viruses stopped at source by us would save companies you from investing in hardware, software and IT time, freeing up resources to focus on other issues.

No more spam. No more viruses. Simple!
