ANTI SPAM - HOW IT WORKS |
The ArmourPlate Anti Spam service works by scanning your company's
email to stop spam before it reaches your computer network.
Your company's email is filtered by our proprietary, highly sophisticated
spam recognition engine, 'Robot 5', which will detect almost all
spam.
Robot 5 also allows you to tailor the filter to your own requirements,
for your company as a whole as well as for an individual employee.
This means you have complete control in deciding who you do and
don't want to receive emails from.
Robot 5 uses proprietary
technology against spammers as they change their methodology
to try and avoid detection tracking the changes. It learns from
spam and its 'rules' are continually revised to safeguard your company's
email security.
Each spam email that is stopped is placed in an individual user's
Spam Box, which is housed on the ArmourPlate system. Each email
user can view their own Spam Box via a Web browser accessed
with a secure user name and password. After thirty days each email
is deleted from the user's Spam Box. Occasionally, the AP system
may find an email that, whilst it has strong spam characteristics
is measured as 'borderline'. In these instances, an alert email
will be sent to the user informing them of this. These emails are
also stored, in a separate Quarantine Box.
